Zoya Holiday/Winter 2013 Nail Polish Collection - Zenith

The nail polish collections for this holiday season have been some of my favorites so far.  The Butter London collection has produced a bunch of hits for me and I am very excited to look at the Zenith collection from Zoya and I continue to stalk the China Glaze website in hopes of the new holiday shades debuting slightly sooner than normal.  China Glaze is often one of the last collections to come out every season so I will have to keep waiting and check the Zoya collection out today.

The new collection from Zoya is named Zenith and contains six brand new shades.  I seem to remember that most Zoya collections have a whole range of shades in and six is much less than I am used to seeing.  Zenith contains two pale shades and four deeper shades, all of which contain copious amounts of shimmer and shine.  I am already looking forward to heading over to Ulta and shopping from this new collection.

- Mosheen - Mosheen by Zoya can be best described as an astro ice blue topper, great for layering over other hues.
- Payton - Payton by Zoya can be best described as a full-coverage, galactic cranberry with holographic glitter.
- Belinda - Belinda by Zoya can be best described as a full-coverage, cosmic purple metallic. (Originally designed for designer Zang Toi / AW2013)
- Dream - Dream can best be described as a full-coverage, deep space blue with holographic glitter.
- Cassedy - Cassedy can best be described as a full-coverage, celestial pewter metallic.
- Seraphina - Seraphina can best be described as a full-coverage, Polaris silver metallic.

I love all six of these shades and I want each of them.  My favorite shade is the one that I have included a photo of with this post, Dream is a unique bright blue glitter and I have nothing like this shade in my collection.  My second favorite shade is the other full glitter in this collection, Payton is a deep cranberry glitter that is a bit less "Christmas" than China Glaze's Ruby Pumps.  Cassedy and Seraphina are my versions of neutrals, I love silver and pewter shades.  I have found that silver hues tend to look more attractive with my skintone and match the majority of my wardrobe choices.

Mosheen and Belinda are both very pretty shades and I would like to own them but I won't be heartbroken if they sell out before I can order them.  Mosheen is a shade that I would either get tons of use from or forget that I even have it.  There is something telling me that I have a pale blue topper shade from Chanel already and I almost never use it.

I love this collection from Zoya and I am heading to Ulta to pick these shades up then I will be right back to stalking the China Glaze website!

Zoya Fall 2013 Collection - Cashmeres and Satins

September has just began and I am know craving some new polish colors for fall.  Therefore today we are going to look at the newest collection from Zoya and then we are going right into looking at China Glaze's new collection tomorrow.  I start wearing fall reds and jewel tones on my toes right around Labor Day and then will start wearing them on my hands toward the middle of the month.  Zoya is a nail polish formula that I have just began to wear and will be buying more of over my next few Ulta visits.  This is one of the formulas that my hair stylist recommends the most and is one that contains no animal products or byproducts in the formula.

The new collection is called Cashmeres and Satins, this company always divides their seasonal collection up into two parts.  Each part has a different finish and most of the time the two parts contains the same or very similar shades in the different finishes.  So I expect that we will see a group that contains a metallic finish and a group that contains a satin finish.

The shades that are part of the Cashmere collection:

- Maria-Louisa - gold cellophane accent topper (originally designed for Rafael Cennamo/AW13)
- Livingston - lush autumn red cream

- Flynn - lush camel brown nude cream
- Louise - rich brown cream
- Neve - sapphire blue metallic (original designed for Zang Toi/AW13)
- Hunter - dark sea green cream
- Sailor - classic dark navy cream
- Claudine - striking dark meteorite gray metallic

I love this collection and I am really pumped to grab some new nail polish shades in the coming weeks!  My favorite shade is the one that I have pictured, Giovanna.  I can only imagine how lovely this shade looked when worn by the models on the Zang Toi runway and I want to start wearing this shade as soon as possible.  Flynn will be a good choice for a neutral and this will be one that I will fall back on and use as a staple in my polish line up.  Here is the rest of my shopping list when I visit Ulta: Maria-Louisa, Livingston, Pepper, Neve, Hunter, Sailor, and Claudine.  I would love if Zoya sold sets of polishes, I want so many shades from this collection that I would be more than happy to order sets.

I already have a nice list for my next Ulta visit and I know that I will be adding to it tomorrow when we check out the new collection from China Glaze.  This is one of my favorite collections so far this season and the best nail polish collection that we have seen so far.

Zoya Summer 2013 Collection - Stunning and Irresistible

We are almost at the end of the month and almost every single summer collection is now out.  Between getting ready for finals and lots of new beauty products and collections, I am going to be a very busy girl over the next few weeks.  I am very excited for the end of the semester but I always miss school within a few days of being down with finals and then I begin collecting books that relate to my fall classes and start reviewing the material before the end of June.  I guess I am just the eternal nerd and will be a student for life!

But back to beauty!  I am very excited to add some new nail polish shades to my collection season, I have found new loves in shades from Nails Inc and more favorites from lines that I have loved for several years now.  The next lines that I try will be Julep and Zoya, my salon carries Zoya so it will be very easy for me to pick up a shade or two the next time that I get my hair done.  Maybe I will even get a manicure to celebrate the end of the semester by scheduling a manicure and pedicure myself!

Zoya's summer collection is named Stunning and Irresistible, two words that I would love to have used to described my personal style.  This collection is actually comprised of two smaller collections, each have a variation of the same shades with different finishes.  We have seen this concept for many companies over the past few years and I usually end up liking multiple shades and then wasn't them in both of the finishes that are offered by the company.  I am envisioning one finish on my fingers and the other one on my toes, I would love to see this collection at my salon and then I could get my manicure and pedicure done in the shade variations. 

We will start with the Stunning part of the collection.  "Just like the sun...  You are the center of it all!"  This is the part of the collection that contains the creams, I believe that the other part of the collection will be more popular but I personally really love cream finishes and want to look at the more basic shades first.

- Darcy - Zoya Nail Polish in Darcy can be best described as a full-coverage, sunny yellow cream.
- Thandie - Zoya Nail Polish in Thandie can be best described as a full-coverage, citrus orange cream.
- Micky - Zoya Nail Polish in Micky can be best described as a full-coverage, amazing coral cream.
- Josie - Zoya Nail Polish in Josie can be best described as a full-coverage grassy green cream.
- Rocky - Zoya Nail Polish in Rocky can be best described as a full-coverage serene blue cream.
- Yana - Zoya Nail Polish in Yana can be best described as a full-coverage, Geranium pink cream.

The Irresistible part of the collection will be the more coveted of the two, I can already see fans of Zoya going crazy for some of these metallic and foil hues and they are much more unique than the first part of the collection.  I am betting that these are the shades that will sell out in days of hitting Ulta and the website and we will see if my prediction is correct!

- Amy - Zoya Nail Polish in Amy can be best described as a full-coverage, red orange foil metallic.
- Tinsley - Zoya Nail Polish in Tinsley can be best described as a full-coverage, rose gold foil metallic.
- Bobbi - Zoya Nail Polish in Bobbi can be best described as a full-coverage, hot magenta pink foil metallic.
- Hazel - Zoya Nail Polish in Hazel can be best described as a full-coverage, blue green foil metallic.
- Rikki - Zoya Nail Polish in Rikki can be best described as a full-coverage fern green foil metallic.
- Kerry - Zoya Nail Polish in Kerry can be best described as a full-coverage, yellow gold foil metallic.

Both parts of the collection are offered in single bottle or sets of six that contain all of the bottles in that part of the collection.  In both cases, there is at least one or two shades that I do not like and would never wear so I can rule out buying either of the six packs.  From the Stunning part of the collection, my favorite shade is the blue hue, Rocky.  This bright blue is cooler and less aqua than China Glaze's For Audrey and would fill a hole in my polish collection.  The rest of the colors that I want are: Josie and Yana.  I think that the Irresistible part of the collection is the harder of the two to wear and the shades that I would be more likely to use in pedicures during the work week and then would only use in manicures when I am getting dressed up and going out.  The shades that I want in the second part of the collection are: Bobbi, Tinsley, and Hazel.  Hazel is my favorite shade of the whole collection and this icy metallic blue would really set off tanned skin so I am very excited to try this one out!

Zoya Spring 2013 Collection - Lovely

We are pretty much at the end of the spring color collections and this is fitting being that today marks the middle of the month of March.  I have already started to do some major shopping and will continue over the next month and a half.  Nail polish has been a huge love of mine this spring season and every Sephora order that I have made has contained at least one new bottle of polish.  And I feel that I still have not made a dent in all of the new hues that I want to order.  Needless to say, my next purchase really needs to be a better holder for all of my polish shades...

Zoya is polish line that I am always interested in but I have a hard time finding at Ulta and therefore own much less of than any other brand.  I would be more than happy to change this fact and I think that I will just need to start ordering from the Zoya website and hope that the colors appear correctly on my computer browser. 

Lovely is new the collection for spring from this company and it is series of pretty pastel hues that I adore already.  "Beauty is a lovely state of mind", states the company when providing a collection description.  This collection contains single bottles of polishes and also a set that provides multiple bottles of the polishes.

I really like some of these shades and I can't wait to do some ordering and looking to see if my salon will have some of theses shades offered for manicures.  My favorite shade is the one that I have included the picture of, Julie.  I have already talked this spring about how much I am loving pale lilac shades and this is another great example of one.  I now think that I have found one of these shades in every single new polish collection.  My next picks from the collection are: GeiGei, Blu, and Jacqueline.  I am all about the pinks and blues this spring too and these are great shades for me to add to my collection.  I think I need to start looking for more pictures of these shades and compare how accurate my computer screen's images are.  I might just find my new polish obsession this spring...

Zoya Holiday 2012 Collection - Ornate

I am rapidly coming to the end of the holiday collections and December is starting very soon...I can hardly believe that time has gone so fast since I start holiday collections in the beginning of October.  Zoya's Ornate collection is the last of the nail polish collections that I will be looking at until the spring collections begin to release.  At this point, I can't buy any more bottles of polish until I can find a new place to store my bottles, I am 100% maxed out with my current container and bottles are overflowing from it every single time that I try and close it.  I am almost hoping that I don't really love anything from this collection since I cannot buy any more bottles. 

However, on first glance, I can already see some wonderful jewel tones in this small polish collection and I will have to make some hard decisions on either storage or parting with a few current bottles if I decide that I must have a couple shades from Zoya.  Maybe it is time to start browsing the Bed Bath and Beyond website for some new ways to store items...

I am thinking that it is time to just begin shopping for a much bigger container for my polishes...I am not going to stop buying new bottles any time soon and I will want a few shades from this collection.  My favorite shade and the one that I want the most from this collection is the pictured shade, Storm.  I don't own any black shades and I love this shade.  This is a must own for me and it actually will fill a hole in my huge polish collection. 

I really own need that one shade from this collection but of course I want more than just one shade!  My second favorite shade is Logan, I love this shimmering deep green foil and this shade will fill another hole in my nail polish collection and I really love this shade.  The last shade that I really love is the gold foil shade, Ziv.  This one will be the best to create the French or Accent manicure with this collection and I have been using a silver foil from China Glaze to create this look already.  I would use this gold shade a lot and it is very worth me buying a bottle of this shade.

Just a few more holiday collections left and I must say that I am already excited to start the spring collections!

Zoya Fall 2012 Collection - Diva

Diva is the last of the three fall collections from Zoya, this collection is the most similar to the second collection that we looked at.  Diva and Designer contain shades that work hand in hand, both collections contain only jewel toned shades, all of which are perfectly on trend for the fall months.  Personsally, I would wear many of the Designer shades in the fall months, as they are the cream finishes, and then wear the Diva shades more around the holidays.  The Diva shades are all shimmer finishes and they would be perfect for dressing up around the holiday season.  It stands to reason that if a Designer shade works well for me in the fall months, then I should purchase the Diva version of the shade to wear around the holidays.

Diva is technicially a fall release however it looks like an early holiday release to me, Diva contains a shimmery deep red polish and that shade automatically makes me think of the shades that I wear all the time around the holidays.  Deep reds with a shimmer finish also look great in the fall months, some of the best shades remind me of fall leaves and I always wear a shimmery red from Deborah Lippmann during the fall months and then switch over the best selling Ruby Pumps shade from China Glaze.  I am interested to see if the red in this collection is more fall leaves or holiday parties. 

Each fo the shades in the Diva line up contains shades that are either a shimmer or a metallic finish, I think that these shades will be more covetable than those in the Designer line.  Most of these shades are very unique and I rarely seen any that are even close to some of these.  The shimmery versions will be harder to pull off and they are not for faint of heart.  Personally, I would start out by wearing the shades from Designer on my nails and then the shades from Diva on my toe nails.  Once I got more comfortable with the more dramatic finish, I would start wearing the Designer shades on my nails.

Elisa - bright shining medium crimson red with subtle gold shimmer and a glowing metallic finish (cool)

Suri - medium blue-toned purple with delicate red and blue shimmer and a smooth metallic finish (cool)

Song - bold vibrant medium primary blue with silver and blue glittery metallic sparkle (cool)

Ray - dark blackened pine green with smooth delicate silver and green frost shimmer (cool)

FeiFei - medium steel blue base with heavy gold, blue, and pink iridescent metallic sparkle (cool)

Daul - medium red-toned purple base with heavy purple and gold iridescent metallic sparkle (cool)

This is the only one of the three collections so far that I am considering buying the sampler set, I love all six of these shades and I actually want to order all six of them.  It only makes sense for me to order the set and to make sure that I can get my hands on every single shade.  Elisa is my favorite of the shades, this is one of the few red shimmers that I have seen that have a subtle gold shimmer mixed into the formula, most reds with shimmer have a ton of gold or silver shimmer in and this shade is much more subtle.  I really love this shade and would wear it all through the fall and winter months.  Song is my second favorite shade, I love metallic blues so of course I would want to order this shade, I feel that I can never have too many good navy shades!

The above two shades are my favorites but I still really want all the shades in this collection, this collection is a strong series of shades for both the fall and then well into the holiday season!

Zoya Fall 2012 Collection - Designer

The second of the Zoya fall collections is named Designer, this collection is another one that was created for New York Fashion Week.  With this fact in mind, I feel that Designer is a very appropriate name for the collection and it's counterpart, Diva, is another appropriate name for a new collection.  "'Haute' off the runway" is how this collection is described and this shade range was created for designer Bibhu Mohapatra. 

This collection introducesx six new shades, all of which have a cream finish and will be perfect for the fall season.  Each of these hues is considered a jewel tone and this range of deep hues will allow anyone to find at least one or two new dramatic shades for the fall.  Zoya polishes have been the rage of the Makeup Alley nail board ever since these collections have been released and now I can see exactly what shades I will be seeing on everyone's nails this fall.  I already loved jewel tones to begin with and this collection will be perfect for me to add some new shades to my collection.  I cannot wait to see what shades my salon has in stock the next time that I get my hair done!

Here are the shades that have been created for the Designer collection!

Rekha - bold medium blood red with a glossy cream finish (cool)

Toni - dark warm raisin-wine cream with strong purple tones (cool)

Monica - dark soft blue-toned purple with a glossy cream finish (cool)

Natty - smoky deep steel blue with an opaque cream finish (cool)

Evvie - dark smoky gray cream with strong teal green undertones (cool)

Noot - very dark gray cream with strong blue-green undertones (cool)

This collection comes in single bottles and one sampler set that contains every single shade.  Natty is my favorite of all the shades, this deep steel blue is very unique and I love both blue hues and gray hues and this one is the perfect blend of the two.  I don't own any shade like this and I don't recall ever seeing one that this is exact hue.  I must own this polish very soon.

I like three other shades from this collection; Rekha, Evvie, and Noot.  Rekha is a great red cream, it is light than the Deborah Lippmann's Just Walk Away Renee, which is my current favorite red cream hue that I own.  Rekha will be a bit easier to wear and I could use this in a pedicure all throughout the year.  Evvie is another great gray, it is deep than Illamasqua's DWS and will be a great neutral for me during the fall season.  Noot almost looks to be more of a charcoal than a gray, it is the darkest of the hues and will be another neutral for me this fall.

The Diva collection is the last of the three and will head over this one in my next post.  I believe that Diva will be a variation of these six polish hues offered in a shimmering or a metallic finish.

Zoya Fall 2012 Collection - Gloss

My obsession with nail polish only continues to grow over the past few months, I have been collecting all kinds of new shades and now am drooling over some of the beauty magazine articles about how to create simple nail art.  I am not the most cooridinated so I am learning how to do simple dots and small patterns in an accent manicure.  Nail polish and nail art have become two of the hottest trends over the past two seasons, just visit the Nail Bar at any Sephora and you will see that it is fast becoming one of the hottest places in the store.  The fall nail polish collections and the advent of the at-home Gel Manicures have only been adding fuel to the fire and I now have so many polishes that I have to find another place to store my polishes.

Zoya has introduced not one, but three new collections for the fall season.  I have found that they typically introduce two collections, one that has a traditional cream finish and then one that contains very similar shades in a shimmer or metallic type of finish.  This season they have introduced an extra collection, the one that we will start out with today.

Gloss is the collection that we will focus on today, it was created by Zoya for New York Fashion Week 2012.  Gloss contains three new polish shades that are sold by themselves and in a sampler set.  All three of these shades have a sheer jelly finish so I imagine they will appear semi-sheer on the nail.  I am not a huge fan of sheer shades unless they are light neutrals, I don't like the see-through deep pinks, I feel like they just look as those my nails are stained and I didn't clean them up well enough.  I don't know how well this collection will work for me in this regard (unless I plan to apply three to four coats of them to get a more pigmented finish) so I wouldn't order them right away from this company.  If I see them at Ulta and they can be built up with a ton of hassle then I might purchase a shade or two.  Come to think, I think my favorite salon uses Zoya polishes, I will have to look further into this...

All Zoya polishes are free of the Big 5, many polish lines are working to become free of the Big 3 chemicals but this line is unique in that it goes further than any other.  The Big 5 are: formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, toulene, camphor, and dibutyl phthalate.  These polishes are the first that I have ever seen as being "vegan", I am now beginning to wonder what might be the rest of my nail polishes...

Katherine - sheer, dark, red-toned aubergine with a buildable jelly finish (cool)

Paloma - sheer, deep fuchsia-berry with a buildable jelly finish (cool)

Frida - sheer, dark, warm-toned teal blue with a buildable jelly finish (cool)

All three of these shades were created for the Peter Som collection for Fall of 2012, the jewel toned hues are very popular for the fall and I can see these shades going right along with this trend.  They are very sheer with just one or two coats and a minimum of four coats are needed for the full coverage, I don't have to pateince for four coats of nail polish (especially when I don't really love any of the shades) so I doubt that this is a collection for me.  I like all three of the shades but I don't love any of them, Frida is my favorite but I could easily find another teal shade with a more pigmented finish. 

I am holding out hope that this the only sheer finish polishes from the new Zoya shades, I could not deal with having to wear four coats of polish to achieve a normal pigment and therefore I doubt that I would buy any of these three shades, I like the Frida shade but I can find another teal with more pigmentation.

Zoya Summer 2012 Collection - Beach and Surf

It may only be the second week of April but I have already began thinking about summer vacation and what I want to do in my three months of freedom from grad school.  To match my looking forward to the summer months and hitting the beach, the summer makeup collections are beginning to come out and have been further adding to my excitement.  I have never really loved summer collections as a whole and this is one of the first times that I have been really excited for the summer months.  What I have been the most excited about so far is shopping for bright nail polish shades, starting to fake tan, and adding some sunny highlights to my hair.  I thought that it was very appropriate that I started with a summer nail polish collection, the newest collection from Zoya.

Zoya's summer collection is named Beach and Surf and is actually divided into two collections; one named Beach and the other named Surf.  The Beach collection contains cream finish shades and the Surf collection contains a series of metallic shades with the popular foil finish.  I think that I am the most excited about the Beach part of the collection, I prefer cream finishes when I wear bright polishes.  On the Zoya website, the collections can be bought in individual bottles or in sets of six polishes.

- Reagan - Deep cool fuchsia pink with subtle blue undertones and an opaque cream finish.  Reagan packs a lot of color without being excessively bright and is soft but not overaly muted.
- Lara - Medium magenta rose pink with subtle yellow undertone and a soft cream finish.  A soft shade, but with a candy-like pop of color to ensure that it doesn't look flat.
- Shelby - Soft but colorful cherry blossom pink with an opaque cream finish.  A light girly pink with enough tint to keep it from looking pastel or washed out.
- Arizona - Softened bright citrus orange with a muted cream finish.  This orange is bright but also very soft, giving it a fun, orange sherbet-like look on the nails.
- Tracie - Faded, yellow-toned pistachio green with delicate silvery shimmer for a frosted pearl finish.  Great for a fresh-looking twist on vintage avocado green.
- Wednesday - Faded dirty medium turquoise with green undertone and an opaque cream finish.  A very stylish shade with a funky yet easy to wear vintage look.

The Surf part of the collection...
- Kimber - Rich, bright and saturated medium magenta pink with strong gold metallic shimmer and a foil-like finish.  A huge hit of color and a shot of shiny gold metal make this polish look electric.
- Carly - Very rich, bold, red-toned dark purple with iridescent red and silver metallic shimmer and a dense foil finish.  The bold color and sparkling foil finish make Carly like gift wrap for your nails.
- Rory - Medium mauve pink with lilac tones, gold and silver reflective metallic shimmer accents and a foil-like finish.  The gentle color of this polish gives the foil finish a softened appearance.
- Myrta - Warm medium orange coral with a red undertone, gold and silver metallic shimmer, and a foil-like finish.  The coral color of Myrta is soft, but the foil finish gives it an added warmth and glow.
- Meg - Light yellow-toned mermaid green with heavy gold and silver metallic shimmer and a sparkling foil finish.  A light and fresh looking green with added sparkle and shine.
- Zuza - Deep, saturated, oceanic turquoise with gold and silver metallic shimmer and a foil-like finish.  A beachy, colorful, foil-like shade with the perfect balance between blue and green.

I am thinking that I could wear the cream shades on my nails and the metallic shades on my toes.  The collections appears to offer each shade in a cream finish and a metallic finish, I am envisioning some great matching manicure and pedicure looks at the beach and on the town this summer.  From the Beach collection, I want the bright pink (Lara) and the aqua (Wednesday) shades.  I do want to see how close Wednesday is to China Glaze's For Audrey and Aquadelic, two shades that I have been wearing this spring.  From the Surf collection, I love the pale pink (Rory) and the aqua (Zuza) shades.  The bright pink foil from Surf is a bit too warm to be flattering on my skin so I think that I will skip over it. 

I am so excited for the aqua shades in this collection, I have a black halter bikini and a black strapless dress that I am dying to pair these shades with.  This is a great start to the summer collections!

Zoya Spring 2012 Collection - True Collection

With my current craze for nail polish, I have been spending a lot more time on the Nail Board of Makeup Alley and the Scrange Nail Polish blog.  In addition to just looking at China Glaze shades, I have been seeing lots of different brands that I hadn't really heard of before.  When I really thought about it, before looking into China Glaze and really getting into polishes, the only brands that I really used and knew about were OPI, Deborah Lippmann, and Chanel.  But I am happy to note that I am seeing all kinds of different brands now and my nail polish collection is growing faster than any other type. 

One of the brands that I see lots of raves about in both of those places is the Zoya brand of polishes, I have only ever seen this line at Ulta and the display wasn't near the size of the OPI or Essie displays.  This line combines the best of both worlds, it is available in salons so I know that the quality needs to pass muster from many stylists however I can still buy it at Ulta and order it from the company website so I am not running around in circles trying to find certain shades of it (my current issue with China Glaze).  As long as my local Ulta has a good selection of these shades than I will be happily collecting these polishes for the next few months.

I haven't gotten to try any of these polishes yet so I decided to start by looking at the new spring collection and seeing if there are a few shades that are worth the trip to Ulta.  Between the past two China Glaze releases and the Butter London polishes, my next trip to Ulta is going to be quite hard on my wallet...

The new collection is named True Collection and it consists of six new polishes that are sold individually and in a set of all six.  The collection contains three light to medium shades and three deeper toned shades.  The deeper toned shades could be considered jewel tones since these formula contain a shimmer element to the finish.

- Farah - Opaque light khaki-beige with subtle sandy, greenish undertones and a cream finish.  An always appropriate neutral to add to your polish wardrobe.  Warm.  Cream.
- Bevin - Dusty, medium sage green with teal tones and a creamy opaque finish.  A stylish and unique shade for when you want something different from the usual mint green.  Cool.  Cream.
- Skylar - Medium steel blue with a softened, dusty look and speckled by visible gold and silver shimmer flecks.  A soft blue that's bold without being too dark, bright, or flashy.  Cool.  Metallic.
- Tru - A saturated, red-toned grape purple with speckled shimmer that reflects gold, orange, and red.  Bold and saturated warm color made even more interesting with color-shifting shimmer.  Cool.  Metallic.
- Lotus - A very soft, dusty blue-toned amethyst purple with colorful shimmer that reflects pink, red, and gold.  A dreamy, smoky shade for purple lovers that looks both soft and luminous.  Cool and warm.  Metallic.

I love love love these shade descriptions, all the detials that this company provides makes it almost impossible to order a shade that looks nothing like the picture.  I also love that the company provides details as to what skintones it will flatter and the warmth/coolness is commented on.  I had made too many errors with ordering shades that are much warmer than they look on the websites.  I have never seen a company that provides so many details to their customers, it seems like this company genuinely wants their customers to pick the right shade the first time.  I would not hesitate to order shades from this company.

I have two favorites from this collection, one green and one blue.  Bevin is the dirty green shade, I own nothing like this and I don't even think that I have ever seen a shade like this before.  This shade is so much more interesting than all the pretty mint greens that we have been seeing this spring, it is very unexpected and so unique.  We all know that I would be attracted to a blue polish as soon as I knew that it was part of the collection.  Skylar is a medium blue with gold and silver shimmer.  Again, this is so unique and is like no other shade that I have seen before.

If the polishes themselves are as good as they sound and actually earn all the raves that I have read from them, then the products from this company look as though they could provide me with yet another nail polish brand obsession.
