MAC Chenman Love and Water is the last of the three new collections that was released last week from the MAC and one of the two that will be available at the counters. This collection was created with fashion photographer Chen Man and there is a very evident Asian influence in the products and their presentation at the counter. This is the only full color collection that has come out in the past week, the other two collections are very focused toward lip products but this collection contains products for the eyes, lips, nails, and face. This collection is based off of Chen Man's obsession with love and water, hence the name. I can see lots of blue shades in this collection, hence the obsession with the water. I also see lots of pinks in this collection, showing the obsession with the love.
"East meets West. A sensual colour collection created in collaboration with Beijing-born fashion photographer, Chen Men, inspired by her infatuation with love and water, yin and yang, pink and blue." I love that this collection contains the Mineralize Eye Duos, it appears that MAC took this collaboration very seriously and created products that really were inspired by her infatuations.

I was most interested in the Mineralize Eye Shadow Duos when I first started looking at this collection, I have never found one of these that I have liked enough to purchase it and therefore this is one product that I have never tried. But these still aren't shades that I like enough to purchase so I won't be trying any of these, perhaps MAC's new Mineralize collection will be more to my liking. The new Pigment and Glitter shades are the wrong shades for me to ever wear on my eyes so they are out also.
The lip shades are going to be my best bet from this collection, I love all the pinks that are offered here and they will be perfect for this spring. From the lipstick shades, I love Force of Love (the bright pink shade) and I want to try Budding Love at the counter to see how the pale lavender shade works on me. The same two shades are offered in the Lipglass, I will buy the Force of Love shade and I am hoping that I can pull off Budding Love in this formula if the Lipstick doesn't work the way that I want it to. The last two pieces of the collection that I am interested in are the Nail Lacquers, Breezy Blue is my favorite and the Pinkly Fresh will be a great shade for the spring. Pinkly Fresh is not all that unique so I will be able to find a shade much like it if it is sold out by the time that I get to the counter.
This might be one of my favorite MAC collections of this season so far!
