DuWop Holiday 2010 Collection

This year, DuWop has released a little collection that consists only of sets that can be given as gifts or kept for yourself. Both of the sets are focused only around lip products and I could see these being fantastic little gifts for all the ladies on your list this year. DuWop Fall 2010 Collection

Finally the Fall 2010 Collection for DuWop is up on their website, I have been stalking them since Labor Day. Their collections are always small but worthwhile. This collection only consists of four new products, two lip, one cheek, and another addition to the Venom Collection. The two lipsticks are continuations of the very popular Private Red lipstick from last fall, another one of the products that contains pigments to adapt the shade to your lips and create your perfect hue.

I have two picks from this collection. The first is the Private Nude Lipstick, which looks like it could be the perfect nude lip to complement more dramatic eye makeup looks. I am also wanting to try the Keep Blushing in the Rose shade in hopes that I find a great shade that will last more than several hours.

DuWop Summer 2010 Collection

For the summer, DuWop has released four new products to help complement your summer activities. When clicking on the "What's New" page of their website, the slogan "Let Your Beauty Soar" is written at the top of the page so I am lead to believe that these are products that are good for a carefree natural look and to complement your best look when on vacation.

I love the concept of Flight Stick! This sounds as though it could become a go-to product for me during warmer weather or anytime that I stressed out over school and work. I also must keep with my Twilight theme and get the new shade of the Twilight Venom. I am curious about the Clear Revolution and will be keeping my eyes out for reviews to judge if it performs up to its description. I tend to not use gel tanners so I doubt that it would be a product for me, but you never know.

DuWop Spring 2010 Collection

The new Spring 201o collection from DuWop is on the smaller side, it consists of only three products in total. DuWop describes the colleciton in one word "Eyecatching". It consists of a new line of eye shadows and other lips items that build off of their best-selling Lip Venom. I am a bit disappoined that this collection is small and that there are no new face products being offered this season. But let's look at the three newest products and see how they stack up.

EyeCatcher Shadows - Using basic color theory, EyeCatcher Shadows contain a matte shade that directly contrasts the color of the iris. On the other side is a shimmering mosaic of shadows that match the iris, creating the ultimate eye-enhancing duo. The matte shadows should be applied over the entire lid into the crease, the shimmery shade is then layered on top, at the lashline. This combination of contrasting and matching the eye color brings out the blue in blue eyes, the green in green eyes, and the golden tones in brown eyes.

Plumping Paste - Plumpers have come a long way since the dawn of the original Lip Venom ten years ago. From this little collection, I want the Blue EyeCatcher and the Plumping Paste. I have always used the Lip Venom Lite and I would like to try out the Plumping Paste. The Plumping Paste would allow me to use it under any lip product instead of only by itself (which is how I have found that the Lip Venom works the best). The EyeCatcher is a very interesting concept since I have always been against blue shades on blue eyes. I am going to give this a shot and see how their concept works for me.

DuWop has released only three now products for this Holiday season. All of which are either palettes or kits and would be either great gifts or something to keep for yourself. All the products are focused toward creating Holiday ready eye makeup looks and there is very litle for the face and nothing for the lips offered in this collection. Let's check them out...

Of the three new palettes, the only one that I really want is the IceStorm palette. I love the pale shades and the idea of pairing them with the dark dramatic liner. I know that I said several days ago that I really have no preference if companies do all sets or all loose product for their Holiday collections but after several posts all about sets palettes, I am beginning to wish that I was looking at more single products. Anyone else feel this way too?

DuWop Fall 2009 Collection

DuWop is brand that I only associate with one type of product - lip plumper. Lip Venom is the only item that I have ever used from this company and I do admit that I often walk right past this mini little counter at Sephora. But with the release of Twilight Venom, I got myself reinterested in this company and wondered what other products than lip plumper that they have to offer.

For this fall, they have only released four new products, three for the lips and one for the face. But since I have been on a lip product kick lately, this doesn't bother me that much. And on first glance, I do see a red lipstick so I bet that I will find something that I want in this little collection. The first product that was released this fall was Twilight Venom, which we looked at mcuh earlier in the summer so I will quickly discuss it and then go onto the other products in the collection.

Instead of a gloss, Twilight Venom is a shimmering crimson lip stain suspended in a venom-laced liquid lip conditioner with a super potent bite (watch out!), and contains argan, avocado, olive oils, and Vitamin E. DuWop Lip Venom V

DuWop's Lip Venom Lite was the first of the many lip plumpers that I have bought over the years. My collection has grown by leaps and bounds but I have always held a soft spot in my collection for the Venom and the great red shade that it turns my lips. I don't notice much with the plumping effect but since I already have rather full lips, I wouldn't really be the greatest candidate to test out the plumping effect.

DuWop has released a new Lip Venom called Lip Venom V, inspired by the Twilight series of books and movies. We all know that I love Twilight and marrying Twilight with beauty products is one of my versions of heaven.

Here is the description from the DuWop website, "Be transformed. Let the alchemy transcend. This special limited edition Lip Venom is a sneak preview of our highly anticipated Twilight Venom, debuting this fall. Lip Venom V is not your typical DuWop Venom. This product is limited edition and due to the demand that DuWop is anticipating, at the moment only a maximum amount of two of this product can be purchased by one customer.

This product is a major lemming for me. I am a bit on the wary side about the warning of the "super-potent bite" but I really want to give it a shot. And it is the first piece of the Twilight inspired collection that will be releasing this fall.
