Coconut Hut Valentine's Day 2011 Fragrances

This is the last of my Valentine's Day themed posts. We are finishing up with the limited edition fragrances from the etailer Coconut Hut. This one is unique in that it is located in Southern California and most of the fragrances are tropical or coconut themed. So when they do Valentine's Day, they put a very different spin on fragrances that just the usual chocolate-based fragrances. Which is good, I need something different right now. I have exhausted many of my sweet holiday fragrances and am rapidly looking forward to getting many of my spring fragrances out of my drawers. This collection only consists of six new fragrances but I am betting that all of them will be winners.

Valentine's Day, Coconut Hut style...

Burlesque Babe - Delicate jasmine absolute, pure Madagascar vanilla bean, Japanese cherry blossoms, and a touch of almond vanilla creme will bring out the pink feathered sequin goddess in you.

Doctor Love - You'll have your man burning up a fever of love with this playful and sweet scent. Layers of pink custard merinque between vanilla cake, topped with butter cream frosting and rainbow sprinkles.

French Kiss - Ripe strawberries dipped in vanilla frosting and dusted with powdered Belgian chocolate.

Lovey Dovey - A sinfully sweet fragrance of succulent raspberries, Swiss Alpine white chocolate, and triple whipped vanilla frosting.

Main Squeeze - Find your main squeeze with a man magnet scent like this. Slices of vanilla birthday cake, vine ripened strawberries, whipped vanilla cream, and marshmellow fluff.

Pillow Talk - Talk dirty to me! A love festive blend of apricot jam, mango ice cream, raspberry whipped cream, and apple frosting.

As with the other etailer companies that we looked at this season, this company's scrubs and hydrators are top notch. With the exception of Bathed and Infused, I really don't prefer the body washes from these companies. They are alright but nothing spectacular. The wash from Coconut Hut is shea butter infused and gives a bit of foam but not huge bubbles.

I recommend the following products from this company...

Coco Cabana Whipped Body Souffle - This thick decadent cream is whipped to perfection and moisturizes with rich Shea and Cocoa butters. Tropical oils and plant extracts lavish your skin in softness. It glides onto your skin and absorbs immeditately leaving only softness behind. 90% Organic Content. Vegan friendly. 98% Natural.

Big Kahuna Ultra Rich Body Butter - Bathe your skin in an oasis of moisture. This rich nourishing butter has the consistency of decadent butter cream frosting and leaves your skin feeling dewy soft. It is 98% natural, made with 25% shea butter, 25% cocoa butter, lush oils of soy and golden jojoba, and aloe leaf extract to soothe and soften. The King of all Body Butters!

Hawaiian Icing Whipped Sugar Scrub - A Coconut Hut best seller and Lena's favorite scrub! A luscious blend of Organic Cane Sugar, Golden Cane Brown Sugar, Granulated Cane Sugar, skin nourishing Cocoa Butter, and precious oils of Coconut and Jojoba. This scrub is truly unique in texture. It is thick and rich like frosting, spreads on your body smoothly, and buffs away all of your dry skin. When applied this amazing sugar scrub turns into a creamy lotion, rinsing clean without any greasy residue. You are left with moisturized and incredibly soft skin.
For a minute there I actually forgot how much I love that scrub. And the body butter is the thickest moisturizer that I have ever used and is the perfect product to get my dry skin back into shape before the warmer weather. Now I want to go and order more in all of these new fragrances. I have to say that I like the sound of all of these fragrances. My favorites are Burlesque Babe and Main Squeeze.

Well Valentine's Day is over for another year very soon. I guess that I have survived it again. Beauty products makes this holiday so much better than it was before.

Coconut Hut Holiday 2010 Fragrances

Coconut Hut is my favorite place to find both coconut fragrances and wonderful dessert fragrances. Christmas is the time of the year for dessert type fragrances and I am already making a list (and checking it twice to make sure that I have everything that I need to get through the rest of the winter!). I have been on a major peppermint kick lately so I am looking for more fragrances to add to my mint rotation.

Here are the new fragrances...

Chocolate Covered Candy Cane - Christmas candy canes dipped in warm chocolate fondue.

Frosty's Snowball - A rich chocolate milk patty, filled with peppermint creme and sweet coconut.

Pumpkin Eggnog Cupcake - Vanilla eggnog cupcakes with creamy pumpkin pie filling in the middle.

Rudolph's Cupcake - A fluffy vanilla cupcake with cherry pie filling, iced with decadent vanilla frosting.

Santa's Bakery - Warm gingerbread, creamy eggnog, and pumpkin pie swirled together to create happy Christmas memories.

Silver Bells - Lotus blossom, ginger milk, and violet petals kissed with white snow orchids.

Snow Angel Frost - Sweet cane sugar, notes of hard peppermint candy, creamy vanilla, and just a hint of angel food cake tops off this delectable scent.

Sticky Peppermint Snowball - Sweet peppermint candy and sticky marshmellow fluff are mixed with oodles of luscious vanilla and a touch of coconut cake.

Winter White Chocolate - Creamy smooth white chocolate is blended with refreshing peppermint candy.

Winter Wonderland Cake - A vanilla cake layered with mandarin oranges and orange creme custard, frosted with thick vanilla icing and crushed peppermint candy canes.

Before I decide fragrance, I will recommend products. Any of the body butter or creams from this company are top notch and the whipped sugar scrub is like rubbing your skin with a fluffy frosting. I also recommend the shea butter based body wash and I have also been told (on the Makeup Alley boards) that her perfumes are wonderfully strong and long lasting. Adding to my pepperming love with be Chocolate Covered Candy Cane, Frosty's Snowball, Snow Angel Frost, and Winter White Chocolate. I also need to order Silver Bells and Rudolph's Cupcake. And I might throw a few coconut fragrances in my cart too for when I get the winter blues.

Coconut Hut Halloween Fragrances

I am really in the mood for Halloween right now. It's cold and rainy and I am burning an old White Barn Creamy Caramel candle while eating Halloween candy. I know that retailers are getting ready for Christmas but I have decided to enjoy fall for the moment and ignore Santa for the day. Coconut Hut Beauty just released their Halloween limited edition fragrances. The best part about ordering etailer products (Coconut Hut, Bathed and Infused, Cleanse Your Soul) is that you are able to order the fragrances in every single type of body product. Unlike Bath and Body Works who only did home fragrance and hand soap in their fall scents and Philosophy who only does 3 in 1 and lip gloss, I can get everything from scrubs to body butters. Yummy!

The new fragrances from Coconut Hut are for Halloween...

Black Cat Brownies - Rich chocolate brownies swirled with marshmellow fluff and topped with caramel butterscotch mini chips.

Enchanted Pumpkin - Magical notes of sweet pumpkin with a hint of spice, swirled with tart cranberry, juicy pomegranate, fuzzy peach, and kissed with rich creamy vanilla.

Ghost Cake - A vanilla birthday cake, layered with whipped marshmellow topping, and sprinkled with candied coconut.

Green Goblin Pie - Mint chocolate chip ice cream in an Oreo cookie pie shell, smothered in hot fudge marshmellow topping.

Halloween Cupcakes - A fluffy vanilla cupcake decorated with mini candy corns and sugar cookie crumbs.

Jack-O-Lantern Cupcake - Bewitching pumpkin cupcakes, filled with pumpkin pie custard, iced with white chocolate frosting and topped with miniature candy pumpkins.

Pink Pumpkin Frosting - Sweet pumpkin custard whipped with cream cheese, vanilla frosting, and sprinkled with Pink Sugar.

Witching Hour - The bewitching scent of lilacs and violets entwined with sweet vanilla bean and sensual amber.

I am already planning my Halloween celebration! I need a night of eating candy, burning fall candles, and playing with tons of fun Halloween beauty products! My top choice is the Green Goblin Pie, followed very closely by Witching Hour, Halloween Cupcakes, Black Cat Brownies, and Ghost Cake. From this company, I recommend the Body Souffle, Body Butter (only for really dry skin), the Body Wash, and the Whipped Sugar Scrub. I recommend that you all try this line out for the fall fragrances and also check out her whole fragrance list (especially for foody fragrances or coconut fragrances!).

Coconut Hut Valentine's Day Fragrances

As we have discussed before, Coconut Hut Beauty is a company that you will love if you love warm weather and all the tropical fragrances that go along with it. The last weekend was well below freezing so I am more than happy to embrace a couple of tropical-inspired fragrances. The owners, Lena and her husband were on vacation to Maui last month and therefore, her February fragrances are based on this vacation and are perfect for the Valentine who is sick of the cold.

There were only three new fragrances released, which is slightly disappointing to me but let's check them all out now.

Passion Coco Kiss - Get your tropic on! Waves of passion fruit nectar and sweet coconut milk gently break against a surf of Hawaiian pineapple.

Haleakula Sunrise - Delicate tuberose entwined with pikake, a whisper of gardenia, ending with the sweetness of island mango.

Hana Rain - The green and lush mountains of Maui after a gentle tropical rain. Refreshing, clean, invigorating.

Who cares if there are only three new fragrances?! I want all three! I love the shea butter based body wash from this company and the body butter. Also, this company has a great choice of scrubs so any type of skin can get the correct scrub that they need. I think I can handle some tropical fragrances more around the middle of winter and into spring than all foody fragrances.

Coconut Hut Beauty Holiday 2009 Scents

Coconut Hut Beauty is little-known bath and body etailer but one that I think creates some of the most amazing products that I have ever used. Even on the Bath and Body Board of Makeup Alley, this etailer seems to get very little coverage compared to some of the better known etailers. The company is owned by Lena who is also responsible for creating all the products and fragrances. This company is based in Southern California and therefore many of the over 500 (!) scents are based on coconut and other tropical blends. In addition to feeding my love of coconut body products, Lena offers amazing Designer Fragrance dupes and gourmand scents to tempt anyone with a pulse.

This company releases Limited Edition fragrances for the Holidays and these would make a great gift for anyone who prefers to celebrate Christmas surrounded by palm trees instead of evergreens. These fragrances are availble in all types of products allowing the gift giver to create a completely one-of-kind, unique gift.

Here are the new fragrances...

Candy Cane Chai Latte - A steaming cup of chai with a shot of vanilla cream, stirred with a stick of peppermint.

Chocolate Covered Candy Cane - Christmas candy canes dipped in warm chocolate fondue.

Eggnog Cupcake - Rich eggnog is blended with vanilla cake batter to create fluffy golden cupcakes iced with creamy butter cream frosting and sprinkled with raw sugar cane crystals.

Frosty's Snowball - A rich milk chocolate patty, filled with peppermint creme and sweet coconut.

Magic Elf Slippers - The sweet dreamy scent of vanilla birthday cake decorated with candied lime blossoms, dusted with sugared shortbread crumbs, and crushed candy canes.

Mele Kalikimaka - "Mele Kalikimaka" is the thing to say on a bight Hawaiian Christmas morning. A rich blend of Norfolk Pine (common to the islands), tropical fruit, and coconut create an outstanding holiday scent.

Rudolph's Cupcake - A fluffy vanilla cupcake with cherry pie filling, iced with decadent vanilla frosting.

Santa's Bakery - Warm gingerbread, creamy eggnog, and pumpkin pie swirled together to create happy Christmas memories.

Snow Angel Frost - Sweet cane sugar, notes of hard peppermint candy, creamy vanilla, and just a hint of angel food cake tops off this delectable scent.

Sticky Peppermint Snowball - Sweet peppermint cady and sticky marshmellow fluff are mixed with oodles of luscious vanilla and a touch of coconut cake.

Winter White Chocolate - Creamy smooth white chocolate in blended with refreshing peppermint.

Winter Wonderland Cake - A vanilla cake layered with mandarin oranges and orange creme custard, frosted with thick vanilla icing and crushed peppermint canddy canes.

Product-wise, I would recommend the body butter or the body cream depending on what type of texture you receipent you prefer. I personally prefer the thicker body cream since it is still easy to spread and rub it. Also the body wash is great to add into the gift. I also recommend the Hawaiian Icing Whipped Sugar Scrub. It is a best seller on the website and has a texture that reminds me of thick, creamy frosting. Here's to some Christmas opinions for those who prefer the beach!

Coconut Hut's Pink Sugar Cake

I am a huge fan of the original Pink Sugar from Aquolina and I wear it all summer long. I get tons of compliments on it from both genders. However, the company doesn't make quite as many body products as I would like in that scent and the ones that they do have are of high cost and poor quality. So what else would I do but turn to the etailers.

As stated above, I'm quite the sucker for Pink Sugar and it turns out that I will order anything in that scent from any etailer in the hopes that I can find fantastic products with the same scent.

The first one that i tried was Pink Sugar Cake from Coconut Hut. The first sniff is total 100% percent Pink Sugar and it smells exactly like the original. Very impressive. After the drydown, it still smells very strongly of Pink Sugar but with a bit of a cakey note to it. I applied it before bed and could smell it the next morning. the Pink Sugar note faded away a bit and the scent just became very sweet.

Pink Sugar dupe number one = A+

This one will be hard to beat.

For the record, the notes of Pink Sugar are as follows (from the Sephora website); bergamot, silician orange, raspberry, fig leaves, lily of the valley, licorice, strawberry, red fruit, cotton candy, vanilla, caramel, musk, wood, powder.
