Lippmann Collection Fall 2010 Shades

Remember last spring when I mentioned wanting Lippmann Collection to make a polish named Bad Romance after the Lady Gaga song? Well, guess what polish just came out this fall! You got it, Bad Romance!! Between the new MAC Lipglass and this polish, I now can really add to my collection of Lady Gaga beauty products! I am so happy with this shade and the other new one that is coming out this fall!

So I need to start with looking at Bad Romance. This fall, Lippmann is continuing with the trend of glitter on the nails as set by Happy Birthday last spring. The whole new collection consists of glitter polishes and now that I worked with Happy Birthday, I am really excited about these polishes. Bad Romance is described as "Gaga blackened fuschia" and is one of my favorite colors that I have ever seen, this one is coming home with me next time I get to King of Prussia. The other new shade is very pretty also. It is called Across the Universe and is described as "blazing blue and metallic green glam in sheerest navy" and is also a glitter finish. This shade reminds me a the shade that I imagine a mermaid's fin to be.

I love both of these shades and I going to hunt for them very soon. Another group of great picks for this season!

Fresh Eat, Pray, Love Fragrance Collection

Fresh has just released a collection of fragrances based on the recent movie release of Eat, Pray, Love. I haven't seen the movie nor do I plan to since I am not a Julia Roberts fan. Also, I tend to hate movies that were originally books (except Harry Potter) because the images that I conjure up in my head don't alwasy match the actors cast in the movie and then the whole experience is ruined for me. While I am not looking forward to the movie, I do plan to read the book at some point and buy the new fragrance collection from Fresh that is inspired by the movie (though I prefer to think that it was inspired by the book).

This collection consists of three fragrances that the perfumier thought that Elizabeth Gilbert (main character) would wear through her experiences and travels in this movie. The fragrances are named: Eat, Pray, and Love.

Eat is the fragrance that was inspired by Gilbert's travels through Italy and is described on teh Fresh website as "sweet and effervescent". "This sweet, effervescent scent indulges in Italy's most addictive desserts and sensual wines. Notes of bright Italian lemon and basil are balanced with creamy textures reminiscent of cannoli and tiramisu topped off with sparkling Prosecco and Limoncello for the ultimate gourmand experience". The top notes are: Italian lemon, basil, bergamot. The middle notes are: plum, red currant, rose. The base notes are: caramel, meringue, vanilla.

Pray is the fragrance that was inspired by Gilbert's travels through India is more of a woodsy fragrance with spice undertones. "Inspired by India's serene sunsets, fresh soil, and traces of incense and spices that permeate warm winds, this scent has great impact and ultimately puts you at peace with a comforting blend of jasmine, pink pepper, patchouli, amber, juniper berry, cardamom, and incense." The top notes are: elemi, pink pepper, juniper berry. The middle notes are: incense, peony, rose. The base notes are: patchouli, amber, musk.

Love is the fragrance that was inspired by Gilbert's travels to Bali and is a sunny fragrance with tropical undertones. "This fragrance bottles the bright, colorful, anything-is-possible feelings of falling in love. Scents of passion, like percolating pheromones, sun-caressed skin, and salty kisses are combined with the lush aromas of Bali's exotic landscape". The top notes are: bergamot, red currant, mango blossom. The middle notes are: lisylang, Tiare, dewy jasmine. The base notes are: sandalwood, vetyver, velvet amber.

The three fragrances are sold separately but Fresh does offer a candle set that contains all the fragrances inside it. The descriptions of these fragrances now have me very interested in reading the book and I mght consider getting the movie when it comes out on DVD just to compare how accurate the fragrances are to the scenes that they inspired. I actually would love to own all three fragrance. Pray would be a great cold weather scent with all the florals and spices in it but I think that the other two would be better for spring and summer. I love that two fragrances contain rose and I also love the scent of the Tiare flower.

Philosophy Fall 2010 Body Products

It is almost Labor Day, the time to break out the fall fragrance is so close that I can almost taste it. I am scanning the supermarkets for the first hint of caramel apples so I can feed that addition. I am also beginning to look for Halloween products and candy, so I can continue my collection of black cats items inspired by my precious black cat Harry. Philosophy is delivering to my every fall want and whim (well except the black cat stuff) with their newest line of 3 in 1s for this season. The new collection consists of three sets of smaller products and three new stand alone 3 in 1s.

First we will look at the solo products. Again this year, the company releases their famed I Love Candy Corn 3 in 1. "This oh-so-sweet candy corn scented shampoo, shower gel, & bubble bath is back for more fall bathtime fun. The moisturizing formula provides a rich, foaming lather to gently cleanse and condition skin and hair". The first new fragrance of this season is called Cookies N' Creme, "Indulge in the delectable cookies and sweet cream scent during your shower or bath. Inspired by cookies n' cream ice cream, this shampoo, shower gel, & bubble bath provides an ultra moisturizing, rich, foamin lather to gently cleanse and condition skin and hair". The last new stand alone product is another 3 in 1 called Crispy Marshmellow Bars, "This ooey, gooey, cripsy marshmellow bars scented shampoo, shower gel, & bubble bath is a special treat for the fall season. The moisturizing lather gently cleanses and conditions skin and hair. Melty marshmellow sweetness indulges your senses as you add some snap to your day". I am in love!

Now onto the limited editon sets for the season. At first glance, I love all of these too! The first set is named Bobbing for Apples, "Bathtime is a barrel of fun with this shampoo, shower gel, & bubble bath 6 oz. set. Savour our Green Apple, Red Apple, and Caramel Apple scents as you lather from head to toe. These moisturizing formulas gently cleanse and condition skin and hair. Dive In!" I have a Red Apple fragrance that this company had out years ago and I savoiur every last drop of it since I can't get it anymore, I am really hoping that this is the same scent. The second set named Trick or Treat and this one is very Halloween. "No tricks, just treats in this seasonal gift set. Pumpkin Spice Muffin and Caramel Apple shampoo, shower gel, & bubble bath 8 oz. are surprisingly spirited treats for your senses! These moisturizing formulas provide a rich, foaming lather to gently cleanse and condition skin and hair". The last new set is a lip gloss set with flavors that match the 3 in 1s in the Trick or Treat Set. "Surprise a friend with these scrumptious lip treats. Trick or Treat includes Pumpkin Spice Muffin and Caramel Apple high-gloss, high-flavor lip shines. These very emollient formulas melt onto lips for a sheer, beautiful shine and treat lips to the most loved flavors of the season".

I must have all the of the new 3 in 1s and the Bobbing for Apples set. I will skip the other two sets because I have strange reactions to pumpkin products and would prefer not to ruin my fall with not being about to use product for several weeks. I have my hopes high on the Red Apple and hopefully it is the same product that I obsessed over three years ago.

Lancome Fall 2010 Collection - French Coquettes

French Coquettes is the latest collection from Lancome Makeup Director Aaron De May. I love everything that he has done for this company and he has made Lancome a brand that I always make sure to check out when I go to Macy*s. The pictures of French Coquette are simply breathtaking and make me think of sophisticated French women and Paris in fall. "Confident. Avant-garde. Extraordinarily chic. Holy huge collection Batman! But I love all of it, so I am more than happy to look at every single product! Starting with eyes, here is the list of items that I want to buy this fall. I love the Eye Shadow Quad, I think that is my number one item from this collection. Next, I want all three shades of the new long-wearing cream eye shadow. I also want the black shade in the Artliner and Le Crayon Kohl. I love the cool shades of the lip color that this collection offers so my list will be big for lips too. In the La Laque Fever product, I want the Sweet Nude shade to pair with dramatic eyes or for a natural look. In the L'Absolu Rouge lipstick, I want the Rose Divine and Cherry Kiki shades since I will learn to do a berry lip this fall. I need to get the nail polish trio also. Face-wise, I have to go the Lancome counter and test out all the foundations and concealers before I can make my determination there so the only product that I am dying for is La Rose Deco highlighter/blush combination, I am so excited for this product. It creates a rosy glow and it has a rose on it. That's my type of product...

C.O. Bigelow Mentha Body Smoothing Body Buffer

Several years, Bath and Body Works had a limited scrub sugar scrub in their Twisted Peppermint fragrance. This scrub was the perfect mix of scrubbiness and yummy fragrance. This scrub has not come back since so myself and others have been living for the Semi-Annual Sales to try and find one of these gems. Even though this product has never returned, Bath and Body Works has added a Body Buffer to their Mentha line of products.

Bath and Body gives the following information about the C.O. Bigelow scrub. "Spiked with exfoliating peppermint sugar crystals, our body buffer provides an invigorating sensation. Wake-you-up formula sloughs away dead skin while smoothing dry, rough spots, creating a one-of-a-kind body-buffing experience". This product is a great addition to the Mentha Body line and I am so happy that one was sent to me from a PR company along with other Mentha products.

This scrub has a cooling sensation (provided by the natural peppermint oil in the product) while goes very well with the action of the sugar crystals. It gets all the dead skin off without irritating my skin. This scrub doesn't foam and that is the only major difference between this product and the old Twisted Peppermint scrub.

This scrub is a great product and can be used by either a man or a woman. The cooling sensation is great way to end a busy day or after a hard work out.

MAC Viva Glam Cyndi and Gaga

This fall just got even more exciting! Based on the fantastic success of the latest Viva Glam release last spring, MAC has added more items to this collection.
