MAC Colour Ready

The newest MAC collection called Colour Ready launches in stores today. Coming off of Sugar Sweet, this collection has some big shoes to fill so let’s see how it measures up. Here is the description from MAC, “Get increased mileage from makeup! A start-to-finish collection that revs up Prep + Prime: three new products plus the essential colour palette. Everything you need to be picture perfect.”

Here is the collection…

Eye Shadow - Highly-pigmented powder. Applies evenly, blends well.
- Bitter - vivid green with shimmer
- White Frost - vivid white with icy shimmer

Eye Brows - Self-propelling, self-sharpening, brow defining. Confidently adds what you need: shape, colour, density in one streamlined tool. Like a pen, creates its own just-right point. Provides definition, shape, deepens/fills in colour. Creates striking arches. Easy to tote around. No sharpener needed.
- Stud - deep rich blackened brown

Penultimate Eye Liner - A liquid pen-style liner that provides the ultimate precise, bold line in a rich, deep carbon black shade. Goes on fluidly, in one steady stroke, to style any fashion of eye line.
- Rapidblack - true black

Lipstick - Colour plus texture for the lips. Stands out on the runway. Simmers on the street!

I give up…what is the point of this collection other than to add on to the Prep + Prime products. Don’t get me wrong, I really want to try the Prep + Prime products but the colors in this collection really seem to have to reason to be. Also, I would like to get my hands on the Penultimate but otherwise, this collection does not hold a candle to the colors in Sugar Sweet.
