It is time to return to spring collections after our brief break for my NARS week. Dior released a bit of a preview to this collection several weeks ago with the three newest nail polish shades, all based on major cities and being having variations on a gray hue. Dior has expanded their vision of the grays and the city inspiration with their complete spring collection, Gris Montaigne. Variations on hues of silvers and grays is a very interesting choice for a spring collection, I tend to think more of these hues in the fall season instead. Looking at overall pictures of the collection, I see that Dior has also mixed shades of pinks in with the grays. This is going to be another collection that will be fantastic for cool complexions but that warmer complexions will find little to nothing that works with their skintones.From the Dior website, "It all starts with grey... I had already expressed my happiness with the new nail polish collection from Dior and the makeup collection only makes me even happier with the brand this spring. I love both of the eye palettes from this collection but I think that the Gris Gris one is my favorite, I would get lots of use from all of the gray and silvers in it. I was hoping that Dior would have included a deeper gray or charcoal hued pencil with this collection since I would pair the eye shadow shades with both of those hues and the black hue that they have included in the collection.
I am interested in the Diorshow 360 of course and the Invisible Retouch, I will need to go the counters next time I go shopping and learn more about both of these products. Lip-wise, I would love to add the Rouge Dior in Spring Pink to my lipstick wardrobe of this spring, I have really been into pinks lately since getting the original Viva Glam Gaga out on Valentine's Day.
I know that having all these choices for cool toned skin will end as soon as the summer collections begin to arrive so for the moment, I will enjoy them as much as I can.
