MAC Semi-Precious Face
Today, we are starting out with the Face part of this collection. It focused on the Mineralize Satinfinish SPF 15 Foundation as the star product. I started using this foundation toward the end of last spring and I loved it very much so I am glad that it is getting the recognition that it deserves with the release of this collection. "Setting the ethically mined minerals from Brazil off: Mineralize Satinfinish SPF 15 Foundation, Mineralize Face + Body Lotion, and Revitalizing Energy Mineralize Charged Water."
The Face section of the Semi-Precious collection...
Mineralize Satinfinish SPF 15 Foundation - A fluid foundation that blends the natural light-reflecting properties of micro-minerals with a smooth satin finish. Provides a low-to-medium buildable coverage with a slightly luminous look. Contains anti-oxidant Vitamins C and E. Provides everyday SPF 15 sun protection. Long-wearing. Suitable for normal to dry skin. Available in a wide range of shades to suit a range of skin tones.
Mineralize Charged Water - A refreshing, hydrating mist that replenishes skin and enhances makeup application and wear. Spray before makeup to create a dewy canvas. Reapply as needed to replenish moisture or re-set makeup. Infused with green tea and citrus scents.
Mineralize Face + Body Lotion - A moisturizing lotion for face and body formulated with MAC's exclusive diamond-infused Charged Water technology. Silky and smooth in application, dynamic in action: Fast-tracks hydration to quickly restore dry skin's natural moisture balance. Lightweight and free of fragrance, mineral oil, and colour. Use alone on face and body or blend with pigments or foundations to sheer out application. Good for any skin types.
I already love the foundation and it was a great introduction to the Mineralize lines from MAC. I would like to try the Face + Body Lotion however I don't find that any type of hydrator in suitable for all skin types. Also, I wouldn't use the same lotion on my body and face but it does seem that MAC has taken this fact into consideration with this formulation and the lack of mineral oils, fragrances, and colors. I can skip the Charged Water since I am not really one of the people who buys into using the spray waters over makeup, I only ever use them before face cream when my skin is super dry in the winter months.
This is a good start to the collection but now it is time to switch tracks and start looking at the color parts of this collection. Next we will go to the Eye part of the collection...
