Bath and Body Works Paris Amour

A few days ago, I posted about Bath and Body Works big fragrance event on Saturday and the fragrance, Paris Amour, that was going to be released at that time.  When I wrote about the event itself, the Paris Amour fragrance wasn't up on the website so I didn't have access to the fragrance details themselves.  However, the fragrance collection is now available on the website and in the stores.  Ladies, if you love floral fragrances, then this one is a must for you!  I am a floral girl and this one is pure perfection, it is actually my first tulip fragrance too!  I liked this when I first smelled it in the lotion at the store and was able to buy an EDT slightly early and just continued to fall more and more in love with the fragrance.

"Master perfumers have blended French tulips, apple blossoms, and sparkling pink champagne to create this beautiful fragrance inspired by a romantic stroll through the streets of Paris."  This new fragrance falls in the Romantics collection, the line of light spring florals.  The top notes of the fragrance are: Sparkling Mandarin, Petite Strawberry, Cassis, Pink Champagne, Apple Blossom, Dewy Freesia.  The heart notes are: Luscious Peach, Jasmine Petals, French Tulip, Water Lily, Frangipani.  The base notes are: French Vanilla, Coconut Milk, Amber Wood, Sandalwood, Creamy Musk.

The lotion smells mostly like a light floral, the tulip comes out very strong in it, followed by the apple blossom.  The pink champagne note comes out only in the EDT.  The fragrance smells very strongly of the pink champagne when it is first sprayed onto the skin and the fragrance is very tart at that time.  After about twenty minutes, the pink champagne note dries off the skin and the tulip, apple blosson, peach, and jasmine notes occur.  The sandalwood slowly comes out after about two hours and it very subtle, the fragrance stays a floral and does not turn into a chypre.  I put this fragrance in the Floral Oriental category, since it contains the floral heart and has the Oriental dry down.

This fragrance is ladylike and lovely.  It would be perfect for a dressed-up night out but isn't so strong that you couldn't wear it to the office.  This is not a tee-shirt and jeans kind of fragrance (not that we have been seeing many of them this fall anyway), it has a certain elan that just doesn't work with dressing down.  This is a very girly fragrance and will appeal to the higher maintence lady.

This fragrance comes in the typical line of products from Bath and Body Works.  The EDT is the best procut in the line but if you don't wish to wear that strong of a fragrance, you still have a full line of products to choose from.  The traditional Body Spray and newer Shimmer Spary are both available if you prefer to wear a lighter version of the fragrance.  The following body products are available in this fragrance - Body Lotion, Shower Gel, Triple Moisture Body Cream, Body Butter, Dial-A-Shimmer Lotion, and Bubble Bath.  Of course, I will buy my normal products from this line, I love the Shower Gel and the Triple Moisture Body Cream.  I am also considering the Shimmer Lotion since this fragrance is nice enough to wear out at night.  As a bit of a surprise, I really want the Bubble Bath from this fragrance, I would find soaking in it to be perfect for a relaxing, girly evening.

My last thoughts?  Look at that bottle!!  I loved the Into The Wild EDT bottle and thought that that would be my favorite Bath and Body Works EDT bottle ever and then I saw this one!  Pink and the Eiffel Tower combined on one bottle of perfume?!  Pure perfection!
